You can arrive anytime from 12:00 am till 21:00 o’clock. For the peace and quietness of the other guest we prefer everyone to arrive before 20.00 o’clock.
On the day of departure we kindly request you to check out by 13.00 o’clock. Is this to early for you? For a late check-out till 18:00 o’clock you will pay 50% extra. Please inform the reception beforehand.
The reception is open from 8:45 till 21:00 o’clock
Yes, except for Sundays you can order fresh bread daily. Please place your order the day before at the reception. The bread can be picked up as from 8:45 am
We have a partnership with a cafe/restaurant located in a neighbouring village at less than a 3 minutes drive. Home made Portuguese dishes every day of the week.
Please place your reservations before 17:00 o’clock at the reception.

Yes, you can use WiFi for free at the entire campsite.
All the pitches have electric hook-ups with at least 6 Amp. Some pitches have a socket with a Euro plug.
Dogs are allowed on the site as long as they are kept on a lead. The camping is located next to a forrest where the dogs can run freely. They can be booked in for a small charge per night.
An additional tent is a small extra tent next to the camper, caravan or main tent. There must be only one booking, one bill, one family and one car.
In low season the bar is daily open from 17.00-19.00 o’clock where you can meet your fellow travellers.
In high season the bar is also open in the morning to take a coffee, and in the afternoon from 17.30 till 20.00 o’clock.
During the rest of the day, when the bar is closed, you can visit the local cafe on walking distance which is open from dusk till dawn. Cheers!
Camping Pelinos is situated on a hill slope and consists of multiple terraces and step paths.
The entrance and exit of the camping is a narrow steep and paved road. Motorhomes of all sizes can drive the camping up and down without any problem.
Guests with a caravan can bring the caravan to their pitch themselves. And if needed, on the day of depature, we can tow up your caravan with our jeep (4×4)
Camping Pelinos has limited number of pitches. Especially in May and June the caravan- and motorhome pitches are mostly fully booked.
In the high season this also counts for guests with a tent.
We recommend to announce your visit a few days in advance by sending us an e-mail. We only accept reservations for 2 nights and more. Guests for 1 night can call us to check availabilty
Bush fires are a huge problem in Portugal. Therefore we don’t allow BBQ with open fire.
Yes, at most pitches the car is parked on the pitch. Only for some tent pitches at the terraces, it is not possible to park the car next to the tent. But don’t worry, during (un)loading and your camping gear, the car can be close to the pitch!
There are approx 20 pitches of which 18 are accessable for motorhomes and caravans.
Yes, you can use the washing machine for € 4,50. There is no dryer.
Yes, there’s no communal fridge with freezer and a microwave free to use.
Yes, most of the pitches have reception to watch TV.
Yes, the pool is open every day of the season from 10:00 till 19.30 o’clock
No, you can pay in cash on the day of departure. The nearest ATM’s are at the supermarkets in Tomar (7 km) or at the town hall in Olalhas “Junta de Freguesia” (5 km)
The centre of Tomar is at 8,5 km distance and at almost 100 m diffence in hight. No problem for E-bikes. On a normal push bike the trip will take you 30 minutes to get there, and 50 minutes to come back again. You need to take the N110 for a few kilometers with a bit more traffic. Here you can take the side walk.
The nearest bus stop is 100 m from the camping. From Monday till Friday there’s a (poor) connection to and from Tomar. On public holidays there’s no bus service. More info: www.rodotejo.pt
A short ride with a taxi will cost approx. € 10,00 We are happy to call you a taxi at the reception.
Camping Pelinos is situated very central and therefore and excelent gateway to explore the rest of Portugal. At arrival you will receive a information folder with all the tourist hotspots of the area. Take a look here to have sneak preview of the highlights!
The nearest supermarkt is in Tomar (7 km). On Wednesdays a ‘Mobile Grocery Store’ stops at the entrance of the campsite where you can buy fresh fruit vegetable and basic groceries.
